Former Bison Caleb Joseph to receive Orioles community service award

Former Lipscomb baseball player Caleb Joseph is in Baltimore, Md. , with his family to receive the Elrod Hendricks Community Service Award on "Minor League" Night Wednesday night at Camden Yards before the Baltimore Orioles play the Tampa Bay Rays.

Joseph played for the Frederick Keys, an advanced Class A affiliate of the Orioles. Joseph earned Carolina League All-Star honors in the midseason and the postseason. He finished eighth in the league in batting with a .284 average.

Joseph won the award over all of the other minor league players in the Orioles organization. He spent many hours working with camps, youth groups and other organizations on home game days for the Keys who are located in Frederick, Md.
