NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team continues Atlantic Sun Conference play this weekend hosting ETSU for a three-game set at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium beginning on Friday night at 6 p.m.

The series continues on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. as the Bison host “Senior Alumni Day” inviting all Lipscomb alumni ages 55 and over for a special pre-game gathering including free food.  The final game of the set is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start on Sunday.

“We are looking forward to another conference weekend at home,” said Lipscomb head coach Jeff Forehand.  “ETSU’s always a good team. We went down there last year and they put it on us pretty good. Hopefully when they come in here this year, we can have some better fortune at home.”

Lipscomb (10-16, 3-3 A-Sun) will send senior righty Connor Sinclair (3-1, 2.87 ERA) to the hill to face ETSU (14-9, 3-3 A-Sun) right-hander John Long (4-2, 3.80 ERA) on Friday night.  Saturday’s contest will see a battle between Bison southpaw Blake Fonfara (2-3, 6.29 ERA) and Buccaneer righty Derek Bushey (2-2, 3.60 ERA).  The series will conclude with Lipscomb’s Josh Cotham (1-2, 3.31 ERA) taking on ETSU’s Jake Long (2-1, 2.21 ERA) on Sunday.

“All three of those guys have been giving us a good chance to win and putting us in a good position,” said Forehand.  “Hopefully, they can go out and do it again.”

The Buccaneers are coming off a series win at Florida Gulf Coast last weekend and a midweek victory against Radford.  Lipscomb evened the A-Sun record with a sweep of Mercer last weekend before dropping midweek tilts against UT Martin and Evansville.

All three-games will be broadcast live on ASun.TV with Justin Seamon handling the play-by-play duties.  Tickets are $5 for adults ages 13 and up while those 12 and under are free.
