NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With snow in the forecast, the Lipscomb baseball team hopes the bats will awaken this weekend hosting Bradley for a 3-game set at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium beginning on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m.

Lipscomb (4-5) senior right-hander Josh Cotham will get the call on Friday for the third consecutive weekend. Cotham heads into the contest 1-1 on the season with a 5.79 ERA.  He will go up against sophomore southpaw Eric Stout making his third start of the season as well for the Bulldogs (2-4). Stout is 0-2 on the young campaign with a 10.80 ERA in 10 innings pitched.

Saturday’s contest features a battle between a pair of senior rightys as Lipscomb senior righty Davey Hackett  goes up against Butler senior Kyle Kramp.  Hackett enters the game 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA while Kramp has both of the Bulldogs wins with a 2-0 mark and a 4.70 ERA.

The first-ever series between the two teams wraps up on Sunday with a meeting between LU redshirt sophomore right-hander Will Blalock and Butler senior lefty Kevin Lenkman. Blalock is 0-1 on the season with a 4.09 ERA, while Lenkman sports a 0-1 record with a 9.00 ERA on the hill.

The Bulldogs head into the contest with an advantage on the offensive side of things hitting .276 compared to .254 for the Bisons.   Butler enters the weekend averaging 7.5 runs per contest compared to 6.7 for Lipscomb.
