NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team rolls north this weekend for a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference series at league newcomer Northern Kentucky in Highland Heights, Ky.

This weekend’s series will be the first meetings between the two teams.

The Bisons (15-30, 5-13 A-Sun) are set to throw senior righty Josh Cotham on Friday night to face NKU (8-37, 3-15 A-Sun) right-handed freshman  Aric Harris.  Saturday’s contest looks to be a battle between a Lipscomb freshman righty Denton Norman and Northern Kentucky junior southpaw Matt Jefferson.

The series is set to conclude on Sunday with the Bisons sending redshirt sophomore Will Blalock out to face Norse senior Blake Bagshaw.

The Bisons head into the weekend looking to make up ground in the A-Sun standings. Lipscomb currently sits in ninth place two and a half games behind USC Upstate. The top eight teams in the league advance to the 2013 A-Sun Championships hosted in DeLand, Fla. later this month.
