Former Bisons pitcher Josh Smith (2006-2010) has been selected to play in the 2011 Midwest League All-Star Game in Davenport, Iowa on June 21. Smith plays for the Dayton Dragons in the Cincinnati Reds farm system.

Smith leads the Midwest League in strikeouts and is eighth in earned run average at 1.90. He has posted a record of 5-3 in 11 starts. Opposing batters have combined to hit just .203 against Smith.

He was signed as a 2010 21st round draft pick by the Reds out of Lipscomb (Tenn.) University. Smith is a native of Margate, Florida.
