NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team returns to home action at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium this weekend hosting Stetson in a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference series in the “Music City”.

As part of a special weekend with the Bisons hosting three shows of the 5th-Annual Don Meyer Evening of Excellence, all three games against the Hatters will be free.  With a record number of visitors visiting campus parking will be at a premium and five satellite/shuttle lots have been setup to aid in reducing the numbers of vehicles on campus.

Those five locations can be found on the parking map

Friday night’s contest under the lights gets started at 6 p.m. as Lipscomb senior righty Josh Cotham is set to face Stetson right hander Josh Powers.  Cotham enters the weekend 1-4 with a 9.64 while Powers is 1-5 with a 3.15 ERA on the mound.

Saturday‘s contest is set for a 4 p.m. first pitch due to the start of exams for Lipscomb earlier in the afternoon. Bison freshman righty Denton Norman is scheduled to make his first conference start on the heels of being named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association “Pitcher of the Week” for his efforts last week. Norman picked up a pair of wins on the week including throwing seven shutout innings in his first collegiate start.

Norman, who is 2-0 with a 2.21 ERA, will go head-to-head with Stetson ace Austin Perez, who is 5-1 with a 2.86 ERA.

Lipscomb redshirt sophomore Will Blalock is scheduled to make his team-high 11th start of the season for the Purple and Gold.  Blalock is 0-4 with a 5.37 ERA and will take the hill against either Adam Schaly or Chad Rood for the Hatters.

The Hatters are led by Patrick Mazeika, who leads the Atlantic Sun and ranks 17th nationally with a .405 average at the dish.

Sunday’s contest is set to air live on http://www.asun.tv for free.
