Hwang threw 21 pitches Thursday night before the rain and came back and threw 6.2 innings on Friday to get the win as Lipscomb advances in the Atlantic Sun Tournament.
The Bisons took an early lead on Thursday night before a storm rolled in to DeLand forcing the suspension of the contest until Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT Lipscomb leads 3-0 after an inning and a half.
Opening up the 2013 Track and Field NCAA Preliminary Round, Lipscomb junior sprinter Tucker Peabody finished sixth in the 100-meter dash. The preliminary round for the east region is taking place in Greensboro, N.C. and is hosted by North Carolina A&M.
After falling to North Florida in the opening round of the A-Sun Baseball Tournament, the Lipscomb baseball squad faces Florida Gulf Coast at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Bisons managed only three hits on the morning in a 6-1 loss to No. 3 North Florida in the first round of the 2013 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship in DeLand, Fla.
