NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Getting the second half of the Atlantic Sun Conference schedule started, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team travels to USC Upstate on Thursday night in a contest that was added to the ESPN3 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
The Bisons (8-12, 3-6 A-Sun) look to avenge a 98-61 loss to the Spartans (12-10, 6-3 A-Sun) that came on Jan. 7 at Allen Arena.
Senior guard Deonte Alexander and sophomore forward Malcolm Smith lead the Purple and Gold averaging 12.3 points per game each. The Bisons also continue to get double-digit scoring from redshirt freshman center Stephen Hurt, who averages 11.7 points per contest and sophomore forward Martin Smith, who is scoring 10.2 points per night.
Upstate is led by sophomore forward Torrey Craig, the second-leading scorer in the A-Sun, and his 17.1 points per game average.
Along with the coverage on ESPN3, the game will be broadcast on radio locally on 102.5 The Game.
