Brian Fisk continues to add to his postseason accolades.
CollegeInsider.com., a website featuring coverage of NCAA Division I mid-major college basketball teams, has named Fisk Most Valuable Player in the Atlantic Sun Conference for the 2005-2006 season.
Fisk was in the top two in scoring for the Bisons this season, trading first and second place with sophomore forward Eddie Ard. Both Fisk and Ard have been selected to be on the All-Atlantic Sun Conference First Team by a vote of the conference coaches.
Lipscomb Coach Scott Sanderson was named A-Sun Coach of the Year.
"I think Brian is one of the most complete players in our league," said Sanderson. "He guards the best offensive player on the opposing team. On the other end he averages more than 16 points a game for us.
"He is very, very unselfish. He is just a total, complete player. Like I have said many times, he is the heartbeat of our team."
East Tennessee State's Tim Smith was named A-Sun Player of the Year by CollegeInsider.com. Campbell Coach Robbie Laing was selected as A-Sun Coach of the Year by the website.
CollegeInsider.com publishes a top-25 poll of Mid-Major schools featuring the Atlantic Sun, American East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Continent, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Sun Belt and West Coast.
