Lipscomb fans will have a unique opportunity to watch a future Bison in action tonight.
Adnan Hadzic and his teammates from North Central High School in Indianapolis, Indiana will face off Thursday on ESPN2 against Loyola Academy, a squad from Chicago featuring both of Michael Jordan's sons.
The North Central game and the Lipscomb Bisons game at Mercer both tip off at 6 PM. The Lipscomb game will be broadcasted on the Lipscomb Sports Network via AM-900 in Nashville and online at LipscombSports.Com
Hadzic, 6-foot-8, 240 pounds, is a native of Bosnia. He was All-District, All-Region and All-State last season. He was All-State Honorable Mention in 2004-2005.
"Adnan looks like Tarzan," Sanderson said. "He is very strong. He is a good rebounder in traffic. He has good low post moves. He should be a very good presence for us inside." From 2003 through 2006 his high school conference has been known as "the hardest basketball conference in America."
Hadzic's team has been ranked as high as 12th nationally. One of his teammates, Eric Gordon, is rated as one of the top players in the country. He has signed to go to the University of Indiana.
"A lot can be said for recruiting kids out of winning programs," Sanderson said. "Kids from winning programs come in with an air about them. They expect to win."
