The Atlantic Sun Conference wants to hear the fan voice for the 2011-12 Preseason Men's Basketball Awards. Lipscomb's Robert Boyd is a candidate for Defensive Preseason Player of the Year. Fans can vote at the A-Sun Facebook page.

The winners of the fan polls will be included in the Preseason All-Conference Release on Wednesday, October 12th. The deadline to vote is 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday, October 11th so make sure to get your ballot in.

Here are the nominees for the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year:

• Robert Boyd, Lipscomb
• Isiah Brown, ETSU
• LaDaris Green, Kennesaw State
• Tommy Hubbard, ETSU
• Kerron Johnson, Belmont
• Matt Sauey, North Florida

Fans can also vote for the Preseason Player of the Year and the 2011-12 A-Sun Regular Season Champion. The top vote getters from the A-Sun Coaches Preseason Ballots were chosen for these polls.
