Lipscomb's Bisons won their first game of the season with a 1-0 shutout of Presbyterian College Friday afternoon at the Gamecock Classic hosted by the University of South Carolina at Stone Stadium in Columbia, S,C.

Sophomore midfielder Josh Inglebright scored his first goal of the season with an assist from T.J. Williams at the 24:37 mark of the first half. Inglebright scored from the left side, kicking the ball into the right side of the net. It was also the first assist this season for Williams.

Senior goalkeeper Jake Goergen earned his first shutout of the season. He made three saves, all in the second half. The Bisons held Presbyterian to 13 shots.

The Bisons managed 11 shots, with only two shots on goal. Senior defender Xander Vooys had the other shot for the Bisons.

The Bisons are 1-4. Presbyterian slipped to 0-6.

The Bisons play the host Gamecocks Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
