Friday, October 16, 2009Miguel DaSilva and Drew Longinotti each had a goal and an assist as the Lipscomb Bisons and North Florida played to a 2-2 tie Friday night in Atlantic Sun play at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
North Florida opened the scoring at 6:14 when Matthew Hollyoak found the net.
DaSilva tied the game when he scored at 25:56. It was his fourth goal of the season, tops for the Bisons this season.
In the second half the Bisons took the lead at the 59-minute mark when Longinotti scored.
At 81:51 North Florida’s Adam O’Neill scored with Hollyoak earning the assist to tie the game.
The Bisons are 3-8-3; 0-3-2 in the A-Sun. North Florida is 2-8-1, 2-1-1 in the conference.
Sunday afternoon at 2:30 the Bisons are back at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex to face Jacksonville at 2:30.
Jacksonville, 3-8-1, 1-3-0 in the conference, lost 2-1 in overtime to Belmont Friday night. It was the first conference win of the season for Belmont. The Bruins will close out the home portion of the regular season for the Bisons Thursday night at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex.
