MACON , Ga. _ Campbell's men's tennis team topped Lipscomb, 5-0, in the first round of the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center on Wednesday at Mercer University.

The seventh-seeded Camels won all three doubles matches and then picked up four wins in the singles play to advance.

Jiri Beranek and Ryan Mills picked up the win at No. 1 doubles, 8-1. Florent Wilpotte and Zorick Toltsan had an 8-3 win at the No. 2 spot with Sergia Tejan and Martin Parkes winning at No.3, 8-1.

The Camels kept the momentum rolling, winning at No. 3, 4, 5 and 6 positions in singles play. Carlos Campo got the win at No. 3, 6-2, 6-1. Mills followed with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 4. Toltsan won at No. 5, 6-1, 6-2 and Parkes wrapped up the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6.

Campbell advances to face No. 2 seed Jacksonville on Thursday at 2 p.m.
