Jared Carlson from Rockford, Ill., has signed to run both cross country and track at Lipscomb University.

Coach Karen Robichaud made the announcement.

Carlson, 5-foot-11, 147 pounds, was a four-time state qualifier in cross county and a two-time state qualifier in track at Rockford Christian High School. He was also a three-time all-conference selection in both track and cross country.

Carlson plans to major in mechanical engineering.

He is the son of Joanna and Darryl Carlson.
