MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb’s Tucker Peabody and Gemikal Prude swept the weekly honors from the Atlantic Sun after they were named this week’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week.
Peabody took home Track Athlete of the Week after his performance at last weekend’s Tennessee Relays.
He completed the 200 meters with a time of 20.78. His time ranks first in the A-Sun, 14th in the NCAA East Region, and 26th in the nation.
Prude picked up the Field Athlete of the Week honor after clearing a high jump of 2.21 meters (7-feet 3-inches) at the Boston Moon Invite.
His jump not only clinched a win in the event, but also set a school record.
His leap ranks first in the A-Sun, second in the NCAA East Region, and fourth in the nation.
The honor marks Peabody’s sixth A-Sun outdoor weekly award and Prude’s second.
