NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb men’s soccer team enters the final home weekend of the 2012 season hosting Stetson on Friday at 7 p.m. and USC Upstate on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Lipscomb will also honor seniors Devon Bahadoorsingh, Tyler Burkhardt, Jeremy Reid, Josh Robert, Matt Shanklin and Ethan Summers as they will complete their eligibility at the conclusion of the season.

The Bisons dropped a 3-0 loss to ETSU last Saturday. The Bucs used a first-half and two second-half goals to secure the victory. Lipscomb held the edge in attempted shots but was unable to convert any into goal scoring opportunities.

Stetson, with a 2-6-1 overall record and 1-2-0 in the A-Sun, comes to Nashville after falling 3-0 to USC Upstate and holding a 0-0 tie with the University of Central Florida.

Stetson is led by Kai Eckenrode with two goals and an assist. Goalkeeper Andreas Schnabl has played every minute for the Hatters allowing 13 goals and posting two shutouts. Schnabl has 28 saves and a 1.38 goals against average.

USC Upstate enters the weekend 4-7-1 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Spartans are coming off a 1-1 weekend after defeating Stetson 3-0 and falling to Florida Gulf Coast 1-0.

Derek Dearmond knocked in the game-winner for Upstate in the 52nd minute of play over Stetson while Dave Musambi and Marvin Schmiege also knocked in Hatters goals.

Musambi leads the Spartans with 11 points coming from four goals and three assists. Dylan Hoop is second on the team with three goals. Goalkeeper Dani Alvarado has 13 goals against and 57 saves while posting four shutouts.
