NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb men’s basketball team wraps up a short, two-game homestand on Friday night in a non-conference tilt with Tennessee Tech at 6:30 p.m. at Allen Arena.
The Bisons (2-3) are coming off a tough 88-79 loss to Murray State on Monday night that saw the Racers pull away down the stretch. Lipscomb looks to build off the solid effort against Murray State including a season-low seven turnovers a season-best free throw shooting effort.
Sophomore forward Malcolm Smith matched his career high against MSU with a 22-point effort and he currently leads the team in scoring averaging 14.1 points per night.
Like the Bisons, Tennessee Tech (3-2) boasts only one senior on the roster, Jud Dillard, who is the player to stop for Lipscomb. Dillard heads into the in-state battle averaging 21.4 points per game hitting 54.4 percent of his shots from the field and a blistering 47.1 attempts from beyond the arch.
The Golden Eagles got off to a good start out of the gate winning their first three contests before stumbling against Evansville and Loyola (Ill.).
The game will be carried live on 102.5 The Game as well as ASun.TV for free. To purchase tickets click here or call 615-966-HERD (4373). The contest is also part of the "Jingle in Your Jammies" promotion to raise awareness for the Arhtritis Foundation.
