NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women’s golf coach Buddy Harston announced the signing of four players for the 2014-15 year.

In a field of 26 players, Benefield finished sixth with rounds of 78-79 in a Golfweek Junior Tour event in April. Of the seven events she played in this year, Benefield had five top 5 finishes.

Harston signed Hillary Reader of Louisville, Ky. to the 2014 class. Reader played for Sacred Heart Academy and is ranked the 11th best golfer in Kentucky.

Reader had a fourth place finish in a Plantations Junior Golf Tour event at TPC Sawgrass in December. She finished with four top 10 finishes in six events played.

Jennifer Muesing was the fourth and final player Harston signed to his class.

She is from Baxter, Minn. and went to Brainerd High School. She made All-Conference five time and was crowned conference champion in her sophomore year. Muesing was a two time 3A state qualifier and has a tournament low of 73. In the Players Tour, Muesing finished second in the final standings and won the Minnesota Jr. PGA Players Tour event with rounds of 75-79.

Coach Harston had this to say about his class:

“I am really excited about this signing class,” Harston said. “They will make an immediate impact on our team next year.”
