NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On the heels of averaging 21 points-per-game last week, Lipscomb junior forward Martin Smith has been named Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week by both the league and College Sports Madness.
The Clarksville, Tenn. native opened the week with a game-high, 24-point performance in the Bisons win over Tennessee Tech. He then scored a game-best 21 points on Saturday at Murray State along with adding six rebounds.
For the week, Smith went 20-of-23 from the charity stripe and played 37 minutes in each contest. Smith ranks second in the Atlantic Sun in scoring averaging 16.4 points-per-game.
The Bisons continue road action on Saturday at Southeastern Conference foe Georgia at 3 p.m.
