Lipscomb's Bisons are the No. 5 seed in the Atlantic Sun Conference basketball tournament.

Lipscomb's Bisons are the No. 5 seed in the Atlantic Sun Conference basketball tournament.

The Bisons will play No. 4-seeded Jacksonville at8:15 Thursday night at the Curb Event Center at Belmont . The tournament is sponsored by Sun Trust Banks.

Belmont, the No. 3 seed, will play Georgia State at 6 Thursday night in the first game of the night session.

Both games on Thursday night will be televised live on CSS.

Thursday afternoon the tournament gets underway with No. 1-seed Gardner-Webb playing Troy , the No. 8 seed atnoon.

At 2:15 Thursday No. 2-seeded UCF will meet No. 7 seed Mercer.

Friday night's semifinals start at 6 with the winner of the Gardner-Webb/Troy game meeting the winner of the Jacksonville/Lipscomb game at 6. The winner of the Belmont/Georgia State game and the UCF/Mercer game will play at 8:15.

Both semifinal games will also be televised live on CSS.

The championship game is scheduled for 1 p.m. It will be shown live on ESPN2. The tournament champion receives the A-Sun's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

This was the Bisons first year to be eligible for the A-Sun Conference title.
