Lipscomb forward Cameron Robinson was back on track with 10 rebounds and 10 points for his fourth double-double of the season, but the Bisons fell 58-49 to Jacksonville Saturday night on the road at Swisher Gymnasium.
The game was televised live on CSS.
Both teams exhibited strong efforts, especially on their respective defensive ends. At the half the score was knotted 24-24.
The second half was a story of runs. The Bisons took a 39-30 lead at 10:26 on a 9-0 run. Jacksonville answered with a 15-2 run.
In the final two minute Jacksonville hit 10-of-14 free throws.
Three Jacksonville players finished in double figures _ Aubrey Conerly (16), Jesse Kimbrough (14) and David Lee (12).
The Bisons held Jacksonville to a 37.9 percent success rate from the field. Haminn Quaintance, Jacksonville 's leading scorer,, was held to only five points.
The Bisons shot 29.3 percent.
The Bisons are 8-5, 3-3 in the A-Sun. Jacksonville is 7-7, 3-4 in the conference.
