Tying an NCAA record was little solace for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons as they lost 92-88 to Stetson in four overtimes in DeLand ,Fla., at the Edmunds Center Thursday night.

The score was 54-54 in regulation.

There have been 11 games in NCAA history that have ended in four overtimes. Last season Northern Illinois beat Bowling Green 102-97 in the most recent four overtimes game.

Both Katie Beth Pate and Kaleigh Gossman finished with double-doubles for the Lady Bisons. Pate was 10-of-14 from the field on the way to a team-leading 25 points and a team-leading 12 rebounds. Grossman scored 13 points to record her second double figure game in a row. She also grabbed 11 rebounds for first collegiate double-double.

Courtney Boynton scored 22 points for the Lady Bisons. She also had five steals. Boynton broke her own school record for field goal attempts with 24 in the game. She had made 19 attempts against Mercer on Jan. 17, 2004 . Boynton's 12 3-point attempts broke the old record of 10 held by Boynton and Renee Logan.

Pate's 10 field goals ties her for second on the school's all-time record list for a single game in the NCAA era. Pate's eight turnovers also ties her for first in that category in the school's record books.

Pate was credited with four blocked shots and three steals.

Grossman's 13 rebounds moved her into a tie for third in the school's single-game record list.

Catie Woods made a season-high nine assists.

The Lady Bisons once again held the advantage on the boards, outrebounding Stetson 59-48.

It was the fifth Atlantic Sun loss in a row for the Lady Bisons, and their sixth loss in a row.

The Lady Bisons are 10-10, 7-6 in the conference. Stetson is 9-11, 6-7 in the A-Sun.
