The road continues to be an unfriendly place for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons basketball team.
After winning three straight games at home, the Lady Bisons have lost their last two games on the road. They take the shortest road trip in the Atlantic Sun Conference Tuesday night when they head down the boulevard to face Belmont University.
Saturday at Stetson the Lady Bisons started out strong but fell 70-62 to the Lady Hatters. The Lady Bisons led 33-31 at halftime after freshman forward Miriam McAlister hit a jump shot with seven seconds left.
The second half was up-and-down with five lead changes and four ties in the first 11 minutes.
Nefertiti Walker, who scored 13 of her game-high 26 points in the final nine minutes, led her Lady Hatters on a 19-9 run during that time to seal the victory.
Pate also led the Lady Bisons in rebounds with eight and blocked shots with two.
Stetson is 3-10 overall, 1-5 in the conference. The Lady Bisons are 3-10, 2-4 in the A-Sun.
