Sept. 23, 2005 - Florida Atlantic University used just about every piece of scoring strategy a soccer team can muster in one game in a 10-0 victory Friday night over the host Lady Bisons of Lipscomb in an Atlantic Sun Conference contest.
It was the first Atlantic Sun Conference game of the season for the Lady Bisons.
Nine different FAU players scored goals.
The first two goals were scored on headers off of corner kicks. Forward Christina Chang, stationed in front of the net, headed in a corner kick from midfielder Ashley Mannarino at 20:12.
At 24:06 Mannarino made another corner kick from the right, this one sent into the net on a header by Michele Fazzari.
Midfielder Monique Cabrera scored the third goal of the game with a 20-yard blast that went into the right side of the net. Mannarino was credited with the assist.
At 38:07 midfielder Brittany Comer, went high with a 20-yard blast . at 38:07.
Defender Beckie Ware closed out the first half scoring as she took a shot from a few feet out while charging to the net with the ball at 39:32.
In the second half Mannarino gor her final assist of the game off of a corner kick as midfielder Autumn Baur shot the ball high into the net at 55:49.
Mannarino scored an unassisted goal at 61:18. The eighth goal for FAU was scored for them by the Lady Bisons at 78:48.
A minute later defender Alicia Tirelli scored with an assist from Chang.
Forward Danielle DiLeo scored the final goal of the game at 88:44. Midfielder Allyssa Eramo earned the assist.
FAU scored five goals in each half, out-shooting the Lady Bisons 40-4 with 22 shots in the first half and 18 in the second. . FAU held a 21-2 advantage in shots on goal.
Lady Bisons goalkeeper Bethany Copeland made nine saves.
Jessica Badders played the first half in goal for FAU. She was replaced in the second half by Megan Coyne.
Mannarino led FAU with one goal and four assists.
The Lady Bisons are 0-8-1. FAU is 6-3-0.
