Both pitchers gave up only three hits, but Tennessee Tech scored an unearned run to make the difference as Lipscomb's Lady Bisons lost 1-0 in a non-conference game Wednesday night in Cookeville, Tenn.
The second game was cancelled due to cold and wet conditions.
Danielle Catalano fell to 6-8 with the loss. She walked one, and struck out three.
Bonnie Bynum pitched for Tennessee Tech, earning the complete game shutout.
Julia Davidson had two of the three hits for Lady Bisons, one a double in the sixth which ended a string of 15 straight outs for Bynum. Davidson stole third base, but was left stranded when Jennifer Cannon ended the inning with a pop fly to second base. Jessica Wilson also had a double for the Lady Bisons.
Tennessee Tech scored in the sixth. Beth Boden reached base on an error after one out. She went to second when Ashley Potts walked. Kacy Bennett, Tennessee Tech's top hitter, singled to center to score Boden.
