The Lady Bisons were back at home, but the wins weren't there as they dropped a doubleheader to Florida Atlantic by scores of 13-4 and 8-3 Saturday afternoon in the first Atlantic Sun doubleheader played at Draper Diamond.
In game one Florida Atlantic scored one run in the first inning and two in the third, but the Lady Bisons came back to take a 4-3 lead with four runs in the bottom of the third.
Alysha Forsythe led off the inning with a walk. Leigh Little reached base on a fielder's choice as Forsythe advanced to second on an error by the first baseman. Niki Bails placed a sacrifice bunt down the first base line to move Forsythe to third and Little to second.
Florida Atlantic came back with two runs in the fifth and one run in the sixth. In the seventh they struck for seven runs to ice the game.
Sara Meek pitched seven innings for the Lady Bisons, giving up 11 hits and nine runs, eight earned. She struck out eight and walked one.
Allison Tyree came on in the seventh to relieve Meek. She faced four batters and gave up three hits and four runs, three earned, before Meek returned to finish the game.
Wilson had three hits and Davidson had two to pace the Lady Bisons.
In game two Florida Atlantic scored one run in the first and seven runs in the second.
The Lady Bisons scored one run in the second innings. Wilson led off with a walk. Meek walked, Wilson was thrown out on a fielder's choice. With two outs Forsythe singled up the middle to score Meek.
In the sixth the Lady Bisons added two more runs. With one out Davidson singled to center. Wilson reached on a fielder's choice as Davidson was thrown out at second. Meek singled through the left side. Villalpando doubled to left field to score Wilson. Kate Richards singled to second base to score Meek.
Allison Tyree started for the Lady Bisons. She allowed eight hits and eight runs, all earned in 1.2 innings. She also walked one batter.
Meek came in and shut out FAU the rest of the way giving up two hits while walking one and striking our four in 5.1 innings.
The Lady Bisons are 15-25 overall, 3-9 in the A-Sun. Florida Atlantic is 23-21, 10-4 in the conference.
The Lady Bisons are back at Draper Diamond Tuesday for a doubleheader at 2 p.m. with Austin Peay.
