Tuesday, August 23, 2005 Aug. 23, 2005 Danielle Graham has signed to compete in track and field for Lipscomb University. Graham participated in the long jump and triple jump for Ezell-Harding Christian School. She was the Class A-AA Tennessee State champion with a triple jump of 36 feet. She placed fifth in the state in the long jump. She also broke the school record in both events, recording a 16-foot, nine inch long jump. "I chose Lipscomb because of the Christian environment, excellent academics and great athletics," Graham said. Graham was also recruited by Vanderbilt, the University of the South-Sewanee and Birmingham-Southern College. She plans on majoring in pre-med. Graham is the daughter of Melinda Yearwood-Graham and Steve Graham of Antioch. |
