After winning the series opener 13-2, the Bisons won game two 3-1, but could not complete the series or double-header sweep, as they fell to Alcorn State 5-4 in game two. For the second day in a row, the Bisons got on the board early using an RBI single by Branden Cadavid in the second to take a 1-0 lead. Alcorn State would tie the score with a run of their own in the fourth. However, in a game shortened to seven innings due to the double-header, the Bisons would score two runs in the seventh to give them their second consecutive win. In game two, Alcorn State took their first lead of the series with a run in the first off Bisons' right-hander, Matt Schnelly. However, the Bisons would rally with three runs in the fourth to give Lipscomb a 3-1 lead. The big hit was a two-run double by Cadavid. Alcorn State added two runs in the fifth to tie the score at three. Charles Williams relieved Schnelly in the sixth. He threw a scoreless sixth before giving up a walk-off homerun in the seventh to record the loss and drop his record to 1-2.
