The Bisons overcame an early two-run deficit but three errors and seven unearned runs translated into an11-2 loss on Wednesday, May 9.
No Bisons' pitcher threw more than two innings in the game. King was removed after two scoreless innings in favor of Matt Bowling.
Meanwhile, after watching the Blue Raiders take a 2-0 lead in the first, the Bisons offense responded with a run of their own in the second. With one out, Casey Bond singled up the middle before promptly stealing second. The next batter, Jared Picchiottino delivered an RBI single through the left side to bring the Bisons to within one.
The Bisons would tie the game with another run in the third inning on an RBI sacrifice fly by Caleb Joseph.
In 1.1 innings of work, Bowling gave up seven runs, two earned, on four hits, before being relieved by Josh Spicer.
Spicer threw 1.1 innings of scoreless relief before being replaced by the Bisons' final pitcher of the night, Chris Burnett, who gave up two unearned runs in his 1.1 innings of work.
The Blue Raiders in comparison used ten pitchers in the contest.
Bowling received the loss to drop his record to 0-1.
The Bisons are back in action when they take on Stetson in their final home series of the season on May 11-13.
