Lipscomb golf coach Buddy Harston shot a seven-over-par 77 in the first round of the U.S. Senior Open Thursday.

The tournament is being played at the par-70 Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Harston had one birdie and 10 pars in the first round. Second round play continues Friday. The tournament ends Sunday.
