The Lady Bisons opened the Tiger Invitational at the Roane Fieldhouse at the University of Memphis with a 3-1 match loss to Louisiana Tech Friday morning.
After losing the first game 30-20, the Lady Bisons rallied in game 2 to take a 30-20 decision.
"We just came out a little slow," said Lipscomb coach Brandon Rosenthal. "In the second game we really kind of shined, but it's tough.
"As a team we just didn't play well. We didn't move well as a team."
But that Lady Bisons were unable to continue their momentum. Louisiana Tech won game three by a score of 30-20 and closed out the match with a 30-23 win.
"We lost a game 30-20 and then won a game 30-20," said Rosenthal. "We always talk about the momentum. We thought it was going to swing our way, but we got off to a real slow start in game three and everything kind of fell apart.
"We just need to execute better. We had 37 hitting errors and that will really hurt us if that happens down the road in conference play."
It was the third straight match win for Louisiana Tech after losing the first six matches of the season.
The Lady Bisons play host Memphis at 2 p.m. The game is available on game tracker by going to the University of Memphis athletics web site.
