Saturday, October 04, 2008The Lipscomb Bisons and Lady Bisons competed in the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday morning with the Bisons finishing 24th out of 33 teams and the Lady Bisons placing 17th out of 32 teams.
Ryan Chastain was the top finisher for the Bisons in the 8-K run at the E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky. He finished the course in a time of 25:08.89.
The next Bisons runner to cross the finish line was Nathan Brame who covered the course in a time of 26:07.10, good enough for 147th place. David Wolfe posted a time of 26:25.56, a 171st place finish.
Rounding out the placings for the Bisons were Tyler Youngs (180th, 26:31.08); Ben Fennell (191st, 26:41.80); Jeff Hoover (216th, 27:04.42); Andrew Shankles (221st, 27:09.92); Trace Carlson (225th, 27:14.59); Hunter Hethcoat (232nd , 27:21.00) and Jonathan Williams (277th, 28:09.02).
There were 294 men competing in the 8-K race.
Several Bisons runners also competed in the “Blue” division of the race.
Aaron Todd finished in 68th place with a time of 27:36.59.
Cormac Carolan was 84th with a time of 27:53.19. Paul Wright was 98th in a time of 28:20.76. Clint Carter completed the course in a time of 28:57.98, a 136th place finish.
The “Blue” division featured 272 runners.
