Tuesday, October 28, 2008Despite poor weather conditions Monday the Lady Bisons, led by Brie Rowdon, are seventh after one round of play in the Troy University Invitational at Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery, Ala.
On a day when the high temperature was 58 and wind gusts up to 14 miles per hour battered participants only one golfer broke par.
Rowdon fought the elements to finish the day tied for seventh place with a 77 (37-40).
Katie Pursell (40-38) and Lindsey Beard (36-42) were tied for 14th place with 78 scores.
Ashlee Catlin was tied for 48th with an 84 (42-42). Mary Leigh Baker fired an 85 (40-45) to tie for 55th place.
There are 13 schools participating and 70 golfers in the field.
The final round is Tuesday with even colder temperatures expected.
