The Lipscomb Lady Bisons softball team celebrated their 2008 regular season Atlantic Sun Conference championship Monday night. Players and coaches and support staff received their rings commemorating the achievement from head coach Kristin Peck and Lipscomb athletic director Philip Hutcheson. At halftime of the men's basketball game with Kennesaw State the A-Sun Championship banner was unveiled. Peck won the 2008 A-Sun Coach of the Year Award for her efforts. The Lady Bisons set a record for wins in a season during the NCAA era with 29, including an 11-game winning streak. They also won 16 A-Sun games, also a program record.
