Friday, October 23, 2009 Lipscomb did not attempt its first shot until Martika Powe’s high shot in the 33rd minute. Just under four minutes into the second half, Lipscomb’s Katie Wood attempted a shot off a corner kick which was saved by North Florida’s Rachael Howard. The Lady Bisons offense kicked in with a blocked shot by Emily Longden in the 72nd minute. Kate Spellman attempted two corner kicks within 30 seconds with McGuire scoring on the second. Freshman goalkeeper Erin Zerio recorded her first career shutout with three saves for the Lady Bisons. The Lady Bisons were outshot 13-4 by North Florida. Lipscomb improves to 4-13, 2-7 in A-Sun action. North Florida drops to 5-10-3, 2-5-2 in the A-Sun. The Lady Bisons close our Atlantic Sun play Sunday at 1 p.m. at Jacksonville. Lipscomb returns home Tuesday night to face Tennessee Tech at 7 p.m. in their final match of the season. |
