The Lipscomb Bisons track & field team finished second in NCAA Division I in the list of Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Teams released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Monday afternoon.

The Bisons posted a grade point average of 3.39. Yale led the nation with a 3.42.

A total of 73 Division I teams recorded a grade point average of 3.0 or higher earning All-Academic distinction. Lipscomb was the only Atlantic Sun conference school to be honored.

The USTFCCCA will release the women's All-Academic teams on Wednesday.
