NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Finding itself clinging to the ropes and nearly headed to the mat against top rival Belmont in the “Battle of the Boulevard”, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team rallied from a 66-54 deficit with 9:18 remaining to claim an 85-74 road win at the Curb Event Center.
The thrilling comeback stunned the sellout crowd on the Bruins’ campus except for the rowdy Lipscomb faithful clad in their purple and gold. The comeback was complete with 3:53 remaining in the game when LU guard Deonte Alexander banked home a trey to put the Bisons out in front 70-68.
Jacob Arnett led the way for the Bisons with a 17-point effort, while Justin Glenn hauled in 10 rebounds and added six assists, four steals and five blocks in a gutty performance.
