NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women’s soccer team returns to the Lipscomb Soccer Complex for the final game of the 2012 season, hosting Northern Kentucky at 7 p.m. Saturday.
The Lady Bisons will hold Senior Day in conjunction with the game, thanking seniors Martika Powe, Kameron Stillwell, TaylorAnn Summers, Andie Thornton and Erin Zerio for their dedication and service.
The Lady Bisons dropped a pair of 1-0 contests last weekend. On Friday, LU fell to USC Upstate and ETSU on Sunday. Erin Zerio collected 17 saves over the weekend to push her career stops mark to 341, good for eighth place all-time in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
The Norse enter 5-11-0 in its first year at the NCAA Division I level and 2-6-0 in the A-Sun. They are coming off a 1-1 weekend after falling at ETSU 2-1 and picking up the 2-0 victory over USC Upstate.
Megan Frye leads NKU with 10 points, with four goals and two assists while Martha Staab has eight points off three goals and two assists.
The Norse have used a two-goalkeeper system throughout the season with each starting eight games and playing in a total of 12. Cassie Lingenhoel has logged just over 100 more minutes with 31 saves and 17 goals against. Stephanie Glass has accumulated 675 minutes allowing 11 goals and stopping 52 shots.
