JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a 10-day break in the action for Christmas, the Lipscomb men’s basketball team returns to the floor in a matinee contest against North Florida at UNF Arena at 3:30 p.m.

The Bisons (5-6, 0-0 A-Sun) head into the Atlantic Sun Conference opener hoping to build on a 6-2 record all-time in league lid lifters. Lipscomb also looks to increase the 8-5 advantage in the all-time series against the Ospreys (4-8, 0-0).

With a balanced attack of four players in double figures, the Bisons are led by sophomore forward Martin Smith, who is scoring at a 12.9 points per game clip.  He ranks just ahead of twin brother Malcolm Smith and his 11.3 points per game average and the 11.0 scoring average for redshirt freshman center Steven Hurt, the reigning A-Sun Newcomer of the Week. Senior guard Deonte Alexander rounds out the double-digit scorers for the Bisons averaging 10 points per outing.

Behind a league-best average of 3.7 threes per game, Parker Smith leads the attack for the Ospreys averaging 15.5 points per game ranking fourth best in the league. Travis Wallace ranks just behind Smith in the league’s best scorers with a 14.7 average that ranks seventh.

A win would give Lipscomb skipper Scott Sanderson his 300th career victory.

The game can be heard live on 102.5 the Game with Jonathan Seamon on the call.  The broadcast gets underway at 3:15 p.m. with the Lyons, Buick, GM Drive to the Game pregame show. The game will also air on http://www.asun.tv
