NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Lipscomb Lady Bisons opened the spring golf season on a winning note beating Tennessee State.
Led by freshman Miriam Parker’s 77 the Lady Bisons shot a combined score of 319 over 18 holes at McCabe Golf Course. Tennessee State fired a 360 team score.
The two teams are scheduled to meet again April 8 and 9 at Old Hickory Country Club.
Savanna Schubert finished a close second behind Parker with a 79.
“It was a good start for Miriam,” Lady Bisons coach Buddy Harston said. “She has shown definite improvement from the fall season.”
Danielle Grace and Morgan Bucher each shot rounds of 80.
Also in the 80s were McKenzy Carter (83), Sami Khan (84) and Sarah McFarlin (85).
Sabrina Ferreri rounded out the scoring for the Lady Bisons with a 91.
The next tournament for the Lady Bisons is March 4 and 5 at Murray State.
