NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women’s basketball head coach Greg Brown has announced Saturday, Oct. 12, as the first Free Fall Clinic for area basketball coaches.
The clinic, which has roots dating back to former men’s coach Don Meyer, is for coaches to come share and learn different ideas.
“It is an opportunity to give and take with one another,” Brown said. “All the coaches will be able to interact and we will share what we do as a program. It gives access to our squad.
“With Coach Meyer, it was a yearly clinic that brought coaches together and sort of kick-off the basketball season. We hope for this to become a yearly deal.
The clinic runs from 9 a.m. to noon and takes place in McQuiddy Gymnasium, which is connected to Allen Arena, on Lipscomb’s campus.
The clinic ends with an evaluation and breakdown at the conclusion of the Lady Bisons practice, which takes place during the clinic.
“We’ll start with a practice and everyone can see the way we do things, we’ll break it down and do an evaluation at the end,” Brown said. Then we’ll open it up for a question and answer session that I think everyone can benefit from.”
