MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb's Heather Parker earned her first career Atlantic Sun Softball weekly honor as announced by the conference on Monday.
Parker, a junior from Pleasant Grove, Ala., recorded 16 strikeouts in 15.1 innings pitched for the Lady Bisons.
She led LU in a sweep of Florida Gulf Coast with two wins, 6-1 and 7-5, and a save in game one of the three-game series. The Lady Bisons ended a nine-game overall winning streak for FGCU and an 11-game home win string. It was also the first losses for FGCU in A-Sun play.
On March 27 Parker also struck out five against No. 20 Kentucky.
Parker is 6-8 with a 2.67 earned run average. She has 80 strikeouts in 97 innings pitched. She has made 21 appearances, 10 in relief. She has thrown nine complete games.
