The Lipscomb Lady Bisons softball team is expected to repeat last year's trip to the Atlantic Sun Softball Tournament in Boca Raton, Fla.

The Lady Bisons were picked to finish fifth in the conference by A-Sun coaches. The media voters selected the Lady Bisons as the No. 4 team.

The top six teams qualify for the conference tournament which will be hosted by Florida Atlantic, the favorite to win the regular season championship and the tournament.

Lipscomb first baseman Heather Collins, a sophomore from Montverde, Fla., was named to the Preseason All-Conference team. She batted .333 last season with 24 runs batted in, playing in all 48 games last season.

The Lady Bisons were the third seed in the tournament last season. They are under the direction of first-year head coach Kristin Peck.
