Tuesday, October 11, 2005 Oct. 11, 2005 Lipscomb outside hitter Cara Wilber has been named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week for Oct. 3-9. Wilber posted 43 kills and 46 digs as the Lady Bisons won matches over Samford (3-0), Gardner-Webb (3-0) and Campbell (3-2). Wilber posted 12 kills and 10 digs against Samford on Oct. 4. She made 20 kills and was credited with 13 digs at Gardner-Webb Oct. 7. She also posted a .302 hitting percentage. In the five-game match victory at Campbell Oct. 8 she recorded 11 kills and 23 digs. Wilber was a red-shirt freshman last year West Virginia University. The Lady Bisons have won five straight games, four consecutive games in the conference. The next match is Thursday night at 7 when the Lady Bisons travel down the boulevard to face Belmont which is also unbeaten in the conference. The winner takes over first place in the conference. |
