NASHVILLE, Tenn. – On the heels of Thursday night’s 68-64 win over Jacksonville, the Lipscomb women’s basketball team continues home action on Saturday afternoon hosting Atlantic Sun Conference foe North Florida at 4 p.m. at Allen Arena.

Behind a season-high 48 rebounds and forcing a season-best 21 turnovers, the Lady Bison (4-17, 2-8 A-Sun) snapped a six-game losing skid with the win over Jacksonville.  Lipscomb placed four players in double figures led by junior point guard Morgan Faulkner, who scored 16.

Junior wing Hannah Phillips continues to pace Lipscomb in scoring averaging 12.6 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per outing.  Senior guard Anna Bowers is right on her heels however, averaging 12.4 points per game.

The opponent:  One of the top defensive teams in the A-Sun, the Ospreys (8-13, 5-5 A-Sun) are limiting their opponents to just 62 points per contest.  UNF held Belmont below that number on Thursday night but could never get the offense going in a 57-35 loss to the Bruins.

Brittany Kirkland leads UNF in scoring averaging 12.3 points per game while Lakira Jones is a force on the glass for North Florida averaging 7.2 rebounds per contest.

Promotions:  Saturday’s contest is part of a doubleheader with the Lipscomb men’s team that features “Star Wars” night with a chance to dress as your favorite movie character and mingle with other fans of the classic films.  The game is also part of another “Adoption Rally” night. The Carrico and Hendrix families will be on hand and 100 percent of all single-game ticket sales will be given to them to use for their adoption expenses.

Up next:  The Lady Bison continue home action next Saturday hosting Belmont at 6:30 p.m. in a “Battle of the Boulevard” contest that will be featured on ESPN3.
