Boynton Leads Lady Bisons to Perfect Week Lipscomb's Courtney Boynton Earns A-Sun Women's Basketball Honor Macon, Ga. - Lipscomb's Courtney Boynton (Sr./Guard/Hendersonville, Tenn.) led the Lady Bisons to a 3-0 week, including a pair of conference road wins over UCF and Florida Atlantic. Boynton knocked down 4-of-5 field goals and grabbed three rebounds. The senior then led the Lady Bisons to a pair of solid road conference victories over Florida Atlantic and UCF. Against the Lady Owls, Boynton scored 29 on 11-of-17 shooting, including 4-of-6 from behind the arc. Boynton also grabbed four rebounds and had another four steals in the triple-overtime thriller. On Saturday, Boynton scored 27 points on 8-of-12 shooting, knocking down 5-of-7 three-pointers. Her 29 and 27 point totals are the second and third highest totals in school Division I history, only behind her 31 against Georgia State last season. For the week, Boynton averaged 21.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.7 assists per game, on 67.6 percent shooting (23-34). The senior also hit 10-of-15 three-pointers and was a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line. Boynton currently leads the conference in scoring with 17.7 points per game and steals with 20 (3.3 per game). She is also fourth in free-throw percentage, hitting 21-of-22 (95.5 percent). This marks the first time this season that Boynton has earned A-Sun Player-of-the-Week honors. As a junior, Boynton earned the honor on January 26th. Lipscomb (4-2, 2-0 A-Sun) returns to the court on Tuesday night as the Lady Bisons host Fisk.
