The Lady Bisons closed out the road portion of the regular season Saturday afternoon with a 65-54 loss at North Florida's UNF Arena in Jacksonville.
The Lady Bisons fall to 6-19, 5-13 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. North Florida is 11-15 overall, 9-9 in the A-Sun.
The Lady Bisons battled North Florida to a 27-27 tie at halftime. Both teams struggled to find the net with North Florida hitting 10-of-29 shots from the field and the Lady Bisons hitting 6-of-29.
I n the second half North Florida opened up with a 17-4 run to take a 15-point lead at 46-31 2ith 14:05 remaining. North Florida kept a double-figure lead the rest of the way. The biggest lead was 19 points at 63-44 with 3:53 left to play.
Lipscomb center Katie Beth Pate pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds. She also added six blocks. Each block adds to her new A-Sun career recprd
For the first time this season the Lady Bisons failed to place at least one player in double figures scoring. Forward Keirstin Head, forward Jilian Partin and Pate each had nine points to lead the Lady Bisons.
Forward Jackie Beik led all scorers with 20 points. Karli Knudsen added 11.
The Lady Bisons return home Tuesday night to face Belmont in the final regular season "Battle of the Boulevard" at 6 p.m. The game will be televised live on CSS-TV.
Thursday night the Lady Bisons close out the regular season against Florida Atlantic at ?/ at Allen Arena.
The Lady Bisons would have to win both of those games in order to qualify for the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament.
