Strong effort by Bartsokas not enough for Lady Bisons

Lipscomb guard Jenna Bartsokas scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, both game highs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Lady Bisons to victory.

After spotting ETSU a 22-4 lead Saturday afternoon in Johnson City at the ETSU/MSHA Athletic Center the Lady Bisons fell 95-64, their fourth loss in a row.

ETSU is 9-9, 6-3 in the conference. The Lady Bisons are 7-11, 4-5 in the A-Sun.

ETSU’s offensive attack was a true team effort with 11 different players scoring with six in double figures. Jasmine McIntosh led ETSU with 15.

On the boards ETSU held a 51-33 advantage.

The Lady Bisons shot 31.8 percent from the field. ETSU shot at a 48.6 percent rate from the field.

Forward Hannah Phillips added 13 points for the Lady Bisons.

Monday the Lady Bisons close out the road trip with a visit to USC Upstate in Spartanburg, S.C., for a 6 p.m. game which will be televised regionally on CSS.
