NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women’s basketball senior guard Hannah Phillips has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week.
The senior earned her first career Player of the Week award after averaging 18 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 38 minutes a game, all team-highs.
“It was a good week for Hannah,” Lipscomb head coach Greg Brown said. “It shows the type of player she is. The consistency she had this week is a consistency she brings to practice each day. She plays with a high energy and a high-level of intellect and it is great to see her rewarded for her efforts.”
Phillips, a Brentwood, Tenn. native, was one point shy of tying a career-high with her 21-point effort against No. 16 Vanderbilt. She also shot 50 percent from beyond the arc in the Lady Bisons first two games, going 7-14.
Phillips had a game-high 15 points, including four made 3-point baskets at Gardner-Webb.
The Lady Bisons travel to Texas Tech on Sunday for a 2 p.m. tip-off in Lubbock, Texas.
